Random Notes and Tips For You
- We add more records almost every week. See "JUST IN" crate.
- We don't stock useless, dirty or ruined records, no junk to flip past!
- Prices are based on local and Internet sales results, + or - for condition.
- Prices do not reflect anyone's personal taste in music, etc.
- Records are historical artifacts, all of us are offended or amused or something by some of the cover art, subject matter, etc.
- Our records are hand-cleaned and play-tested on an AT-LP120 Audio Technica turntable. It reveals the noises, tics, crackles, etc. for us.
- If record skips or jumps, please check your needle for residue, etc., you might also check for misalignment, leveling, etc.
- Sound varies greatly in each situation. A lower-end player makes all records sound nearly new. So your results can vary.
- Still with us? Good time here for another soda or snack. :)
- Deep scratches make audible tics. If you can FEEL it, you can hear it.
- These records are 20-70 years old! The covers are very brittle.
- Best way to dust/clean records - wipe AROUND surface with a clean, untreated micro-fiber cloth. Don't use any soap or tap water!
- Static electricity in dry climate makes noises when it zaps your needle.
- If you use a turntable lid, it may make record skip across. (static)
- Try not to touch the surface, gently feel scratches with your fingernail.
